This book is dedicated to all the mentors I’ve had along the way in the CPM space. If you have the chance to inspire and lift up young people starting their careers, I hope you can. First, I want to thank Tad Bowen for introducing me to Hyperion, giving me my first job in consulting, and for his continued guidance to this day. Thank you to my Marketsphere friends. I would be lost if it wasn’t for the great friendship and mentorship of Janie Villarreal and Satish Masina during my time in Houston and Darren Garett, who would let me ask all the “stupid” questions I wanted after work, trail running at the Umstead State Park. To the folks from my time at TopDown Consulting – Paul Hoch, Steve Davis, and Ricardo (“El Jefe”) Musquiz – I learned so much from your examples, it’s hard to put into words how thankful I was to work with the best in the business. It’d be hard to imagine my life without Tucker Pease, who I met at TDC and who vouched for me at OneStream. I owe Tucker so much as a mentor, constant source of encouragement, and friend. To Bill Lovelace, for taking a chance and bringing me into Pre-Sales, despite me coming from a consulting background and losing my laptop the first week on the job. Finally, to Roy Googin, who I instantly befriended, day one, drinking gin and talking about OneStream. Roy has been my mentor and friend at OneStream: a confidant and sounding board all-in-one. To everyone else who helped, listened, inspired, and challenged me, I wish I could list you all, but know that you are all appreciated.

Andy Moore. Andy works as the Director of Partner Enablement in North America, focusing his efforts on enabling colleagues, partners, and customers. Andy’s OneStream experience stretches over 5+ years with experience on over 100+ customers. Andy’s focus is not in just one area of OneStream but across the entire platform, focusing on providing companies with holistic designs that create value, enable growth, and which provide successful business transformations.

I’d like to dedicate my work in this book to my fiancé Kristen, my colleagues, friends, and family for continuously coaching, supporting, and believing in me, which has given me the drive to get to this point! I look forward to continuing my work at OneStream and giving back to the community that helped me get to where I am today.

Sam Richards. Sam joined the OneStream Software services organization in 2016 as a senior consultant when he decided to leave the world of corporate reporting. He has over ten years of experience in the Finance/IT field, and is currently an Architect at OneStream, focusing on the design and development of some of its largest and most complex customers.

I wouldn’t be able to accomplish what I have without the love and support of my wife, Candace Richards, and children Kinslee and Everly.

Terry Shea. Terry Shea is the Vice President of Analytic and Integration Solutions at OneStream. A well-known expert in the EPM space, Terry has over 20 years’ experience developing data integration and analysis solutions for hundreds of organizations of all sizes and across all industries, including some of the largest multi-national companies in the world. Terry is currently part of a team charged with developing OneStream expertise throughout the company/partner/customer ecosystem.

Dedicated to my wife and kids: Lauren, Kiera, Fiona, Dylan, and Meghan.

Shawn Stalker. Shawn Stalker joined OneStream in 2013 and serves as the Vice President of MarketPlace Development. Shawn has worked in the Corporate Performance Management (CPM) area for over 20 years, maintaining, implementing, and supporting consolidation and financial systems. He has worked on products such as Oracle Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, and OutlookSoft, before joining UpStream Software in 2006, where he helped to build their development and QA teams. Shawn worked at UpStream through acquisitions by Hyperion and then Oracle prior to joining OneStream, where he helped start the QA and MarketPlace teams.

To my children Nola, Keira, and Gavin, who will inherit this world and make it a better place.

Jeff Jones. Jeff joined OneStream Software in 2014 as a technical support engineer and currently serves as the Vice President of Customer Support. Since joining OneStream Software, he has been heavily involved in many large customer projects assisting with environment sizing and application performance tuning. His mission is to continue to strive for 100% customer success and to continue to provide the highest level of support to the OneStream customer base.

This work is dedicated to my wife, Erin. Her love and support are what keep me reaching my career goals and enjoying life.

Tony Dimitrie. Tony joined OneStream Software in January 2012 as employee #10. Tony dedicated his first year to OneStream’s first customer and did whatever was needed in order to make the partnership a success. This soon transitioned into being a Subject Matter Expert for customer implementations led by partners. Tony started the Implementation Support department, which can be identified as Remote Consulting Support (RCS) today. Tony has a wealth of OneStream product and organizational knowledge, which helps serve Tony in his current role as Vice President of Training & RCS.

To Jody, who drives me to be better each day, and my friends and family who have put up with my s*!t for years.
